Enabling/Disabling Acceleration for Web Browsing

Enabling and disabling web browser acceleration is easily done from the Internet Explorer Toolbar (I.E. Ver. 5.x or higher).  Click here if you have Windows NT, Windows 2000, or Windows XP.  If using I.E. 4.x click here.

Enabling and Disabling Acceleration from the Internet Explorer Toolbar 
(For Internet Explorer 5.x or higher)

  1. From the Internet Explorer Toolbar, select the ISP Internet Accelerator icon. (If the Accelerator Settings button is not visible on your toolbar, click here.)

  1. The ISP Internet Accelerator menu with the following options will be displayed.

 

  1. To turn acceleration on or off, click on the appropriate option shown.

The accelerator has now been enabled or disabled according to your selection. The page will reload at the selected option - with acceleration or without.

Note: Internet Explorer 4.x does not offer tool bar functionality. To enable/disable acceleration in an Internet Explorer 4.x browser please do so using the steps in the following section.

(Internet Explorer 4.x
only)

  1. From within a web page, (make certain your cursor is not directly over hyper-link) right click the mouse button. The browser pop-up menu with the following options is displayed: 

 

  1. To turn acceleration on or off, click on the appropriate option shown.

The accelerator has now been enabled or disabled according to your selection.  The page will reload at the selected option - with acceleration or without. If it doesn't, press the reload option in the browser.
